Where we were on holiday when my Dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Retro theatre and auld gubbins

The Dick Emery Show – my gift to you, the people.

Here, as a fancy flipbook thing, is the programme for the Dick Emery Show, summer season at the Southport Theatre in 1975.  The show also featured Unlimited Love (a dance troupe), Johnny Hart (who entertains with his own type of Magic), Alan Randall who merely “Entertains” as does Keeley Ford.  And Len Low was in the Lampwick sketch with Dick Emery.

I was there as a wee boy but don’t remember much as that was the week my Dad got taken into the old Southport hospital and was diagnosed with terminal cancer.  Not the best holiday ever.
